Alan Dunn

Clinton County Council Member District 4

Alan Dunn was elected to the Clinton County Council in 2006 and has served as president since 2017. He represents District 4, which covers the towns of Colfax, Forest, Kirklin, and Michigantown as well as the townships of Forest, Perry, Jackson, Johnson, Kirklin, Michigan, Sugar Creek, and Union.

Dunn was born and raised in Clinton County. A Clinton Central High School graduate, he earned a BS Degree in Marketing from Butler University. Dunn is a fifth-generation farmer who raises corn and soybeans.

In his time on the council, Dunn is most proud of efforts to raze the dilapidated County-owned hospital and replace it with a brand-new IU Health facility. He is also proud of the council's fiscal management of taxpayer dollars. Clinton County has an "A" bond rating with Standard & Poors, a strong rating for a County.

Outside of the Council, Dunn also serves as the president of the Frankfort/Clinton County Airport Authority and is a former past chairman of the Clinton County Community Foundation. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Indiana Corn Growers Association.

Dunn and his wife Jenni have two sons - both following in their father's footsteps. Older son John attends Butler University, while younger son Spencer is a student at Clinton Central. When he is not working, Dunn enjoys watching his sons play sports and playing a little basketball himself.
