Jordan Brewer

Clinton County Commissioner, District 3
 
Jordan Brewer won a caucus to fill a vacated seat on the Clinton County Board of Commissioners in 2020 and was elected for a second term in 2023. District 3 represents Warren, Forest, Michigan, Johnson, Sugar Creek, Kirklin, Jackson, and Perry townships as well as the towns of Colfax, Kirklin, Michigantown, and Forest.

Brewer grew up in Frankfort where he was a basketball standout at Clinton Prairie High School. He has a degree in Finance from the University of Alabama in Huntsville and a Masters in Sport Management from the University of San Francisco. Brewer worked as a professional player agent for several years and at the time, was the youngest certified NBPA agent in the country. He returned home in 2012 and shortly after, joined the family farm in the fall.

Alongside his dad and brother, Brewer has helped grow their family farm into a modern row crop operation that has witnessed double digit growth in its size since his arrival. He is also a co-owner of multiple other local businesses: Next Generation Ag Production, Priority Ag Services, and JMJR Farms. Prior to becoming a commissioner, Brewer served as a member of the Clinton County Area Plan Commission, Board of Zoning Appeals, the Redevelopment Authority, and was elected to serve as a County Committee member for the Farm Service Agency.

In his time as a commissioner, Brewer has helped shepherd the installation of a one-million-gallon elevated water storage tank and construction of a traffic circle near the State Road 28 and I-65 interchange, as well as a 1,400-acre field of solar panels north of Frankfort. Brewer has also been instrumental in plans to build a new state of the art County Annex Building and renovate the historical County Courthouse. He was honored with the Governor’s Leadership Award by Lieutenant Governor Suzanne Crouch in March 2023.

Brewer and his wife Blair two children - a daughter and a son. When he’s not working, he enjoys spending time with his family, working in the yard, and attending Alabama football and Purdue basketball and volleyball games. Brewer also coaches youth basketball and teaches basketball skill development to youth throughout Clinton County.
