Bert Weaver

Clinton County Commissioner, District 1
 
Bert Weaver won a caucus to fill a vacated seat in District 1 on the Clinton County Board of Commissioners in 2021. He won reelection in 2024. District 1 represents the towns of Mulberry, Rossville, Sedalia, and Kilmore as well as the townships of Ross, Owen, Washington, and Union.

Weaver was born and raised in Frankfort where he attended Samuel P. Kyger Elementary School, Lincoln Elementary School, Frankfort Junior High School, and Frankfort High School. He attended the University of Oklahoma where he majored in Finance. Weaver built a 45-year career in finance, real estate, and insurance before retiring in 2016.

Prior to his current term, Weaver served as a County Commissioner from 2012 until 2016. He counts efforts to bring ConAgra and IU Health to Clinton County as two of his proudest civic accomplishments. Weaver has also spent years serving on boards for non-profits like Boy Scouts of America, Clinton County Boys & Girls Club, United Way for Clinton County, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Coach Kids, and Optimist Club. He also served as a deacon and elder at Michigantown Christian Church.

Weaver and his wife have been married 53 years. They share two kids, seven grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. He enjoys spending time with his family, as well as hunting and fishing, in his free time.
